RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, September 28, 2026 – Qualcomm Technologies Ltd and Tarjama today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at LEAP 2026 to explore opportunities to accelerate the deployment of enterprise-ready Arabic artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, addressing one of the most significant challenges facing organizations as they scale AI adoption: translating the complexity and nuance of the Arabic language into high-performing, real-world enterprise applications.
As organizations move beyond AI pilots and experimentation, demand is growing for localized and sovereign AI solutions capable of operating effectively across government and enterprise environments. Arabic remains one of the most complex languages for enterprise AI, requiring models and applications that can navigate linguistic nuance, dialectal variation, cultural context and industry-specific terminology, all while meeting enterprise-grade requirements for performance, reliability and scale.
That challenge has helped fuel growing investment and momentum around Arabic AI development across the region. Tarjama’s Arabic.AI platform, for example, recently attracted a strategic investment and collaboration from HUMAIN, underscoring the accelerating pace of innovation in Arabic-native AI technologies and the market appetite for solutions built to operate at enterprise scale.
Under the MoU, Qualcomm Technologies and Tarjama intend to explore opportunities to onboard and optimize selected Arabic AI models on Qualcomm AI infrastructure technologies, evaluate performance and deployment readiness, and collaborate on advancing Arabic-language AI capabilities across generative AI, conversational AI, reasoning and agentic AI applications.
Tarjama brings nearly two decades of Arabic language expertise, along with its Arabic.AI platform, Arabic-native models, and enterprise AI applications built specifically for the linguistic and cultural demands of Arabic-speaking markets. Qualcomm Technologies Ltd contributes high-performance, energy-efficient AI acceleration technologies and software capabilities, along with expertise in inferencing performance, scalability and deployment optimization.
“Arabic language AI represents one of the most significant opportunities for AI adoption across the region,” said Charles Chebli, Managing Director of UAE and Head of AI Cloud Middle East Africa, Qualcomm Technologies Ltd. “As organizations increasingly look to deploy localized AI solutions at scale, we are excited to explore opportunities with Tarjama to combine advanced AI technologies with leading Arabic AI capabilities. Together, we aim to help organizations accelerate the deployment of high-performance, efficient and scalable Arabic AI solutions that are ready for real-world enterprise and government applications.”
“Arabic is where enterprise AI is tested hardest,” said Nour Al Hassan, Founder and CEO of Tarjama. “Delivering meaningful outcomes requires more than powerful models. It requires deep linguistic expertise, cultural understanding and the ability to deploy AI effectively in real-world environments. By combining Arabic.AI’s language capabilities with Qualcomm Technologies Ltd’s expertise in AI optimization and deployment, we aim to help organizations move from Arabic AI ambition to production.”
The companies also intend to evaluate opportunities for technical collaboration, benchmarking, model optimization and proof-of-concept deployments across enterprise, government, telecom, financial services, healthcare and education sectors, supporting the development of culturally relevant, Arabic-first AI experiences for organizations and end users across the region.
As demand for localized and sovereign AI continues to grow, Qualcomm Technologies and Tarjama share an ambition to help organizations move beyond AI experimentation, offering a practical pathway for Arabic-first AI to operate reliably, efficiently and at scale in production environments.
